The Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU) stated that the increment of the transport fares is to oblige with the increase in fuel prices announced in May 2021.
The cause is due to the some introductions of some taxes by the national Petroleum Authority,which made the pumps in Ghana shot up by 12%
The increment will take off on Saturday, June 5, road transport fares will be increased by 13%.
This new prices affect all forms of transport including trotro and taxis
The,government, has assured us that it will continue with efforts to prevent declivituos rise in input cost.
“We appeal to the general public to kindly cooperate.
